Evan Lucas Emrick left his human body on February 5, 2024. Evan was born on August 5, 2012, to Spencer and Tisha Emrick in Dallas, Texas. He was an amazing son and the very best thing they ever did. He was an amazing brother to his 4-legged sister, Theodora. He had the biggest heart and kindest soul. Evan was proud to be a great friend and always wanted to spend time with those he loved. He was the funniest kid whose laughter was infectious. He was brilliant with movie quotes and lyrics – You’re making me beat up GRASS!! There wasn’t a LEGO kit he was intimidated by, and he has completed well over 100 kits. Evan dreamed of being a LEGO engineer when he grew up. He loved to travel and has visited 18 states and two countries. Evan was able to have his dream trip to New York City last fall and declared it his favorite city. Evan called Dallas home but loved having spent the last two years in Indiana and all the adventures that was able to bring.
Evan has spent the last 5 years enduring more medically than should be asked of a kid. He was so very brave. He LOVED his doctors and nurses so – and their treatment was indication they felt the same of him. He was supported by an amazing team. And if asked, could quickly list all his favorites.
Evan leaves behind his heartbroken family and friends. He is preceded in death by his Mamaw Lily, Uncle Larry, Grandpa Greg, Grandpa Earl, Grandma Juliet, Uncle Ryan, and Sweet Ruby Mae.
