Eugene F. Lewis

Eugene (Gene) F. Lewis was born January 21, 1925 in Carroll, Iowa, and passed away March 24, 2015 in Dallas, TX. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carolyn Cobb Lewis; son Russell M. Lewis and wife Tammis of Allen, TX; daughter Janet L. Wimberley and husband Gary of Lewisville TX, and son Mark S. Lewis of Quinlan, TX; four grandchildren Nicholas Lewis and his wife Traci, Nathan Lewis, Garrett Wimberley and Cassie Wimberley. Gene earned his Electrical Engineering Degree from Iowa State University and was employed by Texas Power and Light for 39 years, retiring as Rate Manager. He was a lifelong member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Dallas, helping with many activities including ushering mass for over 40 years. He also formed, administered, and played in tennis, bowling, and bridge leagues. Services will be held at the North Chapel of Calvary Hill Funeral Home on Friday, March 27, 2015. Visitation will be held at 11:45AM followed by recitation of the Most Holy Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial. Private graveside. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
