Esther Mae Lackey Walker

Esther Mae Walker (Lackey), age 85 of Mesquite, Texas passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016. Mrs. Walker was born on July 6, 1930 in Midland, Texas to Charles and Rosie Lackey. Preceded in death by husband Robert M. Walker, two brothers and two sisters .

A member of the First Baptist Church of Garland, she worked for over 30 years as a lab technician for Texas Instrument. She is survived by her son, Pat Walker and wife Patricia of Katy, TX; daughters, Kaye Norris and husband Randy of Mesquite, TX, Becky Collier and husband Lewis of Krum, TX; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Lackey and wife Gladys of Spring, TX, Bobby Lackey and wife Judy also of Spring, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Sparkman Crane Funeral Home on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Garland. Reception to follow with a procession leaving church at 1:30 p.m. for an entombment service at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made in Mae's name to the First Baptist Church of Garland.
