Esther Lorene Graebner

Born to Ray A. Stone and Maude E. Williams on June 18, 1928, Colorado Springs, Colorado, died on April 11, 2022. Her great-grandparents and grandparents Stone and grandfather Williams were pioneers that helped settle Lincoln County Colorado in 1910. She attended Pride of the Prairie from kindergarten through the ninth grade and graduated from Colorado Springs Palmer High School in 1946. She attended Colorado College and Blair Business College.

In 1949 she married Robert J. Graebner at the First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs. They moved to California before returning to Boulder, Colorado, to the University of Colorado so Bob could get his MS degree in physics. She was a bookkeeper for Crocket Bit and Spur. In 1953 they moved to Dallas, Texas, so Bob could continue working for Geophysical Service ,Inc. (parent company of Texas Instruments, Inc).

Three wonderful children were born to them - Dr. Mark James Graebner, Donna Rae Graebner and Carol Esther Graebner. She was an outstanding mentor for her children and her grandchildren and for their friends. She volunteered for PTA, Sunday School Teacher, Brownie teader, the Dallas Museum of Art, and The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Society. She was also a member of the Dallas Geological and Geophysics Auxiliary, the Preston Hill Book Club and the Cadence Dance Club. She traveled with Bob to many exciting places in the USA, Canada, Mexico, China, Yugoslavia, Holland, England and Scotland.

She leaves behind her children, Mark, Donna, Carol Wall, granddaughter Kathryn Rae Wall, son-in-law, Dr. Bruce Wall and his son, Alex Wall.

The Graebner and Wall families would like to thank Pathway Hospice, especially, Kelly Shaw, Nicky Shaw, Rhonda, Rhoda Hickey, Nicholas Maina, Linda Adams, Sunanda Cherukuri, Mary Arnold and Nicole Straughter for all of the care and love that they gave Mom during her last days.
