Estella Ceja was born September 16, 1964 to the parents of Francisco Ramirez and Delia Mendez. She was the second oldest child of their children Dianna Ramirez Chavez, Irene Ramirez Sanchez, and Alma Ramirez Turner. Followed by her half sister Felicia Clayton and half brother Mario Clayton.
Estella attended Robert E. Lee Elementary, J.L. Long Middle School, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1983. During her high school years she interned with Sheaner Insurance Agency where she later became a personal lines office manager for 39 years.
In 1982 Estella met Javier Ceja who later helped raise her daughter Maricela Ramirez and had two other children of their own Javier Ceja Jr. and Raquel Ceja.
Estella was known for her witty attitude and good cooking. Her musical genre of choice was Tejano music and she loved to dance. Estella was always the life of the party. The confidence she exuded was like no other, making others want to follow and show their confidence as she did. Estella greeted everyone with a compliment and made you feel beautiful even if you didn’t notice it yourself.
She could light up a room with her beautiful smile, positive attitude, and loving demeanor. Whether she knew you for years or just met you that day, she always made you feel welcome in the party and befriended everyone she met. She truly had a heart of gold and was loved by so many.
Estella is preceded in death by her grandson, Adrian and is survived by her three children Maricela, Javier Jr, and Raquel; her eight grandchildren Julian, Isabella, Giovanni, Julissa, Anaya, Isaah, Miranda, and Aiden, nine nephews and three nieces, and four great-nephews and five great-nieces.
