Ernest Eural Malett was born on November 30, 1946 to Ernest Malett Sr. and Ivaree Phillips-Malett in Mexia, TX. He went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 12, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Malett Sr. and his mother Ivaree Wilson.
He completed his high school at Woodland High School in 1965 located in Mexia. He then went to Howard University and on to Texas Southern where he majored in Pharmacy. He then married Margetta Abor and they been married for 53 years.
At an early age he grew up attending Smith Chapel Church in Woodland, TX and later became a faithful member of New Restoration B.C as an “Elder” of the church and the church bus driver.
Ernest worked for Ben Franklin for many years until the company closed, as a computer operator (which earned him the nickname “THE BUTTON PUSHER”) then he started working for Blue-Cross Blue Shield as a Customer Service Rep until he retired.
He leaves to cherish, his memories his wife Margetta Malett, 1 daughter Enetta Malett, 1 son Edrick Malett, 1 grand-daughter Na’Keyla Malett, 1 great grand-daughter Ke’Wreana Malett, Emmanuel Malett, Terry Jones Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
