This past Sunday marked 10 years when our son, brother, uncle, cousin, and great friend to many was taken from us.  The pain is still there, we have just learned to live with it.  Our family misses him so much and would give anything to have you back with us.  They say God has a plan for those who pass; this one was hard to understand and even harder to accept.  
Reading these memories in his obituary reminds us of how valuable our brother was and the lives he touched.  It bring us joy knowing he was loved and cherished by others.  Always voice your love to your family and friends...every chance you get.

As the time between Eric's passing and the present grows wider I find myself mentally grasping onto all of the memories I have of him and with him.  Those times are truly cherished and I hold them in a special place. I continue to pray for strength for all whom were left with a heavy heart when Eric passed a year ago.  I will miss him always.

It has been almost a year and not one day goes by that I don't think of Eric he was such a huge part of our family that it always feels like something is missing. Why did such a beautiful , smart and truly caring person have to leave us so soon.

Eric was a good friend of mine. We were partners in Quinceanera and good friends all during high school. I often think about him and the circumstances surrounding his death. I take comfort knowing that he is with the Lord.    Love always- Lisette Gonzales

We miss Eric and his humor so much.  He remains constantly in my thoughts and prayers.  The Holidays bring about more emotions as I think of how important Eric was in my life and the comfort of his presence will forever be missed and never replaced.  May his family find peace in their hearts this season for they mourn a GREAT son, brother, uncle, and friend. I love you all.

Although it has been months, it is still so hard to believe. Eric was a good friend that I met in 7th grade at Spence Middle School. We shared the same hopes, dreams, and goals. Even though, we would lose touch throughout the years, we always came across each other’s paths and continued our friendship as if we had never lost touch. I will miss Eric’s competitive nature and kind heart. I know one day I will see you again, friend.  My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with your family.

I'm still and always will be in shock that Nico is no longer with us.  We met in Spain in 2006 and became fast friends.  I hadn't seen him in years until February when we had dinner together in NYC. The news of his passing is so so sad and tragic as he was such a bright light.  You will be missed.

What a privilege to have called such beautiful person my friend. I meet Eric 19 years ago and was not done meeting him. There are so many things I will miss about Eric. He was very generous with his laughter. Eric loved the world and the world loved him back. My heart goes out to his family and fellow friends for we have suffered a great loss. If only tears could heal a hurt heart, I could mend us all.  My his family find strength in all the testimonies so thoughtfully given.

There are big ships and small ships, but the best ship of all is FRIENDSHIP! I said bye to a great friend today and I will miss his FRENDSHIP, but so  glad that I was able to call him my friend. RIP – ERIC, you may be gone from us but will live in our hearts forever.

I had the pleasure of working with Eric the last few months and grew to really like him for his sense of humor and his amiability. He will be missed.

God has opened the Pearly Gates to welcome my dear cousin Eric at 31yrs old.  This immense loss is inconsolable and the only solace is knowing that he has begun his new journey at the right hand of our dear Lord.  The emotions felt in the heart are indescribable to the human mind.  It is overwhelming with a deep sense of numbness and emptiness.  I find comfort and take to heart when I recall a saying that states “Every death is a wake-up call to live more fully, more completely, more presently, more right now.”    I trust that we all take a second to reminisce over all the fundamental elements in one’s life and be grateful.  And never miss an opportunity to express your love and appreciation to the ones most important in your life, as you never know if you’ll ever have that opportunity again.  May peace and love bestow upon my aunt, uncle & cousins during this trying time.

Eric was very positive, polite and always went out of his way to succeed in life and his career.   Family and friends were his top priority.   He was on his way to a successful sales career due to his work ethics and his ability to connect with people right away.

Sadness is in my heart today. Eric was in my 3rd grade class at Ben Milam Elem. I could be having a bad day as a teacher and Eric would always make me laugh. He enjoyed life and loved his family and friends. I was so proud of what he accomplished in his short life. My prayers and thoughts go out to the family. My thoughts and prayers to the family of Mr. Eric Najera.   I had the opportunity to know Eric; he was  thoughtful and very funny; he  always remembered  the stories, we all tried to forget.  In 2007, I ran into him and we talked for what seemed like forever and again, he remembered those crazy stories.  Such a wonderful man, who left us too soon, he’ll forever be missed, but not forgotten!

My friend Eric, we had some good times growing up together in "Highland Park," as you would say. I will never forget the laughs we had and especially when we use to score on everyone just to make ourselves laugh. The memories are in my mind and heart like it was yesterday. You rest now my friend and hopefully God will let us meet again in his Heaven, till then try not to score on Jesus till I get there, goodbye for now my friend.
