Eric Herrenbruck

Eric Herrenbruck, 46, passed away May 1, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. He was born April 22, 1977 in Grand Prairie, Texas to James Paul Herrenbruck and Ofelia Gomez. Eric was raised in Grand Prairie and graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1995 and also attended Eastfield College and the University of Dallas. Eric played baseball and was a pitcher throughout his little league, high school and college playing days. He married Eugenia Guajardo in 2011, after having met in high school and being friends for over twenty years, the couple had one daughter, Elexis Marie Herrenbruck. He worked at Dallas Fasteners for the last several years.

In his spare time Eric enjoyed being with his wife, daughter and family, watching his favorite teams the Green Bay Packers, Texas Rangers and other local sports teams. He loved grilling meals for his family, watching his daughter play volleyball, spending time with his dogs, especially Milo, and taking an active role with his many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and Angela and Melissa Guajardo who were like daughters to him.

His family and friends will always remember him as a person of unconditional love, service to others, sense of humor, and always going above and beyond for his daughter, wife, family and anyone who needed him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Paul Herrenbruck and Ofelia Gomez; paternal grandparents, Herbert and Dorothy Herrenbruck; maternal grandparents, Trinidad and Antonia Gomez; brother-in-law and best friend Juan R. Guajardo, Jr.

Eric is survived by his wife, Eugenia Guajardo; daughter, Elexis Marie Herrenbruck; sister and her husband, Jackie and Jesse Rios; sister and her husband, Wendy and Eddie Watkins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Juan and Maria Guajardo; brothers-in-law and spouses, Alex Ramos, Francisco Guajardo and Victoria Covarrubias, Gerardo Guajardo and Yazmin Santana, Eliseo Guajardo and Yvette Guajardo, sister-in-law, Victoria Guajardo and her husband, Oscar Castillo, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A visitation for Eric will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home and Crematory, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A rosary will occur Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 0980 - Calvary Hill North Chapel, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. An interment will occur Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.

Eric will be laid to rest in Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220-3338; OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE III; Lot: 306A, Grave: 2.
