Emily Hanson, 95, passed December 13, 2010. On November 23, 1915, Emily was born to Mr. and Mrs. James Hanson in Tyler, TX. She was baptized in the First Christian Church of Tyler. After graduating from high school at age 16, her family moved to Terrell TX, where she graduated from TMC. She attended First Christian Church in Terrell, and taught Sunday school there for many years. A resident of Dallas since 1961, she was a civil servant for 30 years. After retiring she traveled the world extensively. Emily is survived by her Sister, Martha Hanson; Niece, Cathy Brown; Nephews, John Clinton and Wife Chrisie, Will Hanson and Wife Rhonda; Grandnieces, Nicole Redding, Calyssa Hanson; Grandnephew, Cristopher and Chad Hanson. Graveside services will be held at Grove Hill Memorial Park, Thursday December 16, 2010 at 3:00 PM. Contributions may be sent to East Dallas Christian Church.
