Ella Faye Jackson, age 83, of Tyler passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on August 17, 1940, in Tyler, Texas to Jake and Helen Hollins. Ella was raised in Tyler, Texas and graduated from John Tyler High School.
She married Robert Lean Jackson and the couple had 5 children. She was a retired supervisor at Marriott Hotels where she worked for more than 13 years. In her spare time Ella enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives and General Hospital soap operas. Spending time with family and attending church services which she loved to do frequently. She also loved to fish, cook and play with her grand babies. Her family will always remember her as a caring, loving, kind, giving and compassionate person.
She is preceded in death by Jake Hollins (father), Helen Harvey (mother), Jessie Johnson, Betty Joe Brown, Ruthie Wilder (sisters), Dwight Hollins (brother), Robert Jackson Sr. (husband), Robert Jackson Jr. (son), Linda Jackson (daughter).
Ella is survived by her children: Mary Washington, Milton Jackson (Catherine), Terry Jackson (Jacqueline). Grandchildren: Joe Lee Jr., Brandy, Brandon, Reginald, Brittany, Sha'Tavia, Charity, Alantra, Travier, Skylar and Cana. Great Grandchildren: Brandon Jr., Javen, Reginald Jr., Carter, Mariah, Chase, Jade, Anasia, DeMory'ae, Arron, Tidus, Kalila. God sons: Khari and La'Angelo.
A visitation for Ella will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A funeral will occur Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A committal will occur Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
