Eliza Del Toro Paleo, of Dallas, passed away on September 8, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 1, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas to Luis and Salome Del Toro Sr. She will be greatly missed by her husband of nearly 60 years of marriage Jose Bartolo Paleo; her children Luis (wife Susie), Lisa Paleo Padilla (husband Santos), Alma Paleo Ybarra (husband Robert), Jose Jr., Sonia Paleo Garcia, and Sue Ann Silva (husband Stephen); her sister Julia Longoria of San Antonio, sister-in-law Amalia Del Toro of Floresville, and brother-in-law Felix Garcia Sr. of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was beloved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Christopher Padilla Sr. (wife Kimberly) and Jaelyn, Christopher Jr., and Juliana; Jose Paleo III (wife Gema) and Jose IV, Kailey, Esmeralda, and Julian; Frank Paleo Sr. (wife Luisa) and Frank Jr. and Jonathan; Elena Cardoza (husband Mark) and Isaiah; Teresa Casas (husband Edgar) and Jocelyn, Jaelynn, and Edgar Jr.; Gloria, Gabriella, and Gynna Paleo; Graciela Padilla; Inez, Edward, and Alyse Gutierrez; Alana Hernandez; Joseph and Christopher Silva; and Monica De La Rosa, Veronica Mendietta, and Steve Lopez.
She is reunited in heaven with her parents Luis and Salome Del Toro Sr.; her five sisters; Elvira Garcia, Emiteria Ortega, Isabel Van Raub; Guadalupe Levery; and Pilar Gaeta; and her five brothers; Armando Del Toro, Candelario Del Toro, Federico Del Toro, Juan Del Toro, and Luis Del Toro Jr.
SERVICES: A private visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16th, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM; the visitation will then be open to the public from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM at Calvary Hill. Mass will be held on Friday, September 17th, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Calvary Hill.
