She was born on May 29, 1931 in Clubhouse, Texas to Luis and Cruz Cervantes. Elena was raised in Michigan and (mainly) Dallas, Texas. She married Jesus M. Becerra and the couple had seven children. She had a host of jobs throughout her life starting at a very young age.
In her spare time, Elena enjoyed watching her "novelas", listening to Mexican music, taking care of her yard, gossiping on the phone with friends and her daughters, and drinking her favorite wine, Mogen David.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a nice, calm, loving, and supportive woman. If she could help you with anything, she would. Let's not forget her "sugar tortillas" and "chile".
She is preceded in death by Jesus Becerra (husband), Jesse C. Becerra (son), Alejandro and Zerafin Zuniga (grandsons), Alma and Dalia Carrillo (granddaughters), and Briana Rodriguez (great granddaughter).
She is survived by her daughters, Rosa B. Segovia (Jesse), Elena B. Rodriguez (Antonio), Erlinda B. Martinez (Jose Refugio), Angelita B. Pantoja (Tony), Elizabeth C. Becerra (Raul, deceased); 28 grandchildren; 76 great grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; and many more family members.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.gonzalezfuneralsdallas.com for the Becerra family.
