Elaine Rosamond Warren was born May 26, 1936, in Stamford, Texas. She passed away June 24, 2017, at her home in Mesquite, Texas. In February 1944, Elaine moved with her family to the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, followed by a move to the White Rock area in 1951. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1953 and attended North Texas State College in 1953-1954. She married Douglas Dewayne Warren on October 13, 1956. She is preceded in death by her husband who passed away in March 2004, her parents, Ralph and Fleeta Rosamond, and her daughter-in-law, Cathy Warren. She is survived by her two children, Lindy Evans and husband Steve, and Paul Warren; grandchildren, Jennifer Simpson and husband David, Justin Warren, Mark Evans and wife Christina, Taylor Warren, and Stephanie Evans, and one great-granddaughter, Madison Simpson; brother, Jerry Rosamond and wife Pamela; and nephew, Jerry Dolan Rosamond. She was a faithful member and Sunday School teacher at Lakeside Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She volunteered for several local charitable organizations, including White Rock Center of Hope. Always willing to lend a hand or listening ear to others, “Nana” is loved and will be missed by many.
