EILEEN EVANGELINE GEARY, daughter of Eldon and Dora Jane Weaver, passed away January 31, 2024, after a long illness. Eileen was born on February 7, 1961, in Bethesda, Maryland, subsequently living in Radnor, Pennsylvania and finally Lewisville, Texas. Eileen graduated from Penn State in 1983 and was employed by IBM/EDS as a Systems Engineer and HP as a PMP certified Project Manager in their Frisco, Texas, headquarters location. In 2011 Eileen was diagnosed with Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA), a devastating and rare neuromuscular degenerative movement disorder, and struggled with the progressive and eventual total loss of function. She succumbed to her disease after contracting COVID.
Eileen is survived by her son Michael Geary, her sister Rebecca (Becky) Rector, who was her caretaker for 10 years, her brother-in-law Al Rector, her brother Michael Weaver, and nieces Kristen and Kayla Weaver. She was first and foremost, a proud and loving mother; also a wonderful sister, daughter and friend. She was a passionate long distance runner, having completed a full marathon, and loved learning all the different ways to invest in the equity markets. Eileen was a sweet, kind and gentle soul and truly beloved by all who knew her. She was also a Christian, and it was clear to all who knew her that Christ's light shined brilliantly through her.
Funeral services will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home on Northwest Highway in Dallas, Texas, on February 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM, followed by a reception and inurnment on property.
