Mrs. Edward Lee Williams Boyd entered rest on Tuesday October 1, 2019 at the age of 89. Mrs. She was born in Marshall, Texas on January 18, 1930, the second child of the late Edgar Williams and Odessa Fortner Williams. Known as “Sister Boyd” or “Lee” to friends and “Edward” to her family. She symbolized her dedication to Jehovah by water baptism in Kansas City, MO in 1969.
She received her formal education in Marshall Public School District and attended Bishop College in Dallas. She worked at Texas Instrument for five years. She became a licensed cosmetologist and later became a Beauty Salon Owner. After retiring from the beauty industry, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, family, and friends.
Loving wife of the late Stonie Boyd Jr.; dear mother of W. Steven Boyd, and daughter Dena A. Boyd; grandmother to Brandon Pogue, and Lakesha (Micah) Richard; great-grandmother to Daveonte, Damian, Makenzie, Madison, and Micah Gracie. Beloved by sisters Ceazer Jones, Joyce (Bobby) Rayson, and Bobbie (Harold) Walker. Special niece, Mary Louise Van Buren. Preceded in death by Sisters, Mary Bailey, and Lois Jean Williams; Brothers, Edgar Williams Jr., and Charles Williams. A host of Nieces and Nephews.
