Eduardo Salinas Hernandez

Eddie was born on March 10, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to Antonio Hernandez and Julia Salinas Hernandez. He was very involved in the church and acted as an usher for Sunday service at St. James Catholic Church.

He worked in upholstery for over 45 years and even owned and operated a commercial upholstery business alongside his beloved wife, Lupe. Although upholstery was his livelihood, his true passion was working on Classic automobiles. He spent most of his free time tinkering in his garage or looking for great deals at local swap meets.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lupe Ramirez Hernandez; son Vincent “Ben” Hernandez and wife Priscilla; brothers Rudy, Jesse, Oscar, Mando and sister Belinda; grandchildren Michael, Gabriella and Justin; great-grandchildren Serena and Evan and many family and friends.

Pallbearers: Justin Hernandez, Michael Hernandez, Eddie Hernandez, Rudy Ramirez Jr., Domingo Ramirez III, and Rafael Vela.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm | Rosary from 7pm to 8 pm on Friday, January 15th at Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Mass will be held on Saturday, January 16th at St. James Catholic Church with funeral procession to Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
