Edna Louise Blalock was born on July 9, 1933 in Smith County, Texas to Edgar and Louise Martin. She received her education in the Dallas Public Schools. She accepted Christ at an early age. Edna was a faithful member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church for over 30 years. She served in many capacities, including being an active member of the Usher Board
She worked at Home Interiors for more than 25 years.
Edna was a loving person who enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. One of her greatest passions was being a mentor to young children.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: George Blalock, sisters: Mary McCarthy Hogg, Evelyn Wheeler, and her grandson: Elisha LeKief Morris IV.
Those left to cherish her memories are sons: Ricky Blalock (Rebecca), Marcus Blalock, daughters: Cynthia Morris, Paula Blalock Taft (Elbert), sister: Minnie Brown, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and other relative and friends.
