Edgar Dewey Stinson II (Ed), 66, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on October 28th, 2020. Ed was born on May 4th, 1954 in Dallas, TX to Dallas Jeweler Edgar Dewey Stinson and Miriam Elizabeth Stinson, nee Golightly. Ed’s maternal great-great grandparents were Charles Capy and Nativa Capy, nee Charpentier, members of La Reunion, a utopian colony established near Dallas in 1855. Ed attended Skyline Highschool and pursued a profession in carpentry, working for the Freeman Decorating Company in Dallas and North American Exhibits and the Philtower in Tulsa. Friendly, outgoing, and always with a wonderful sense of humor, Ed was deeply loved by family and his many friends, and always ready to lend a hand. Ed was multitalented, and equally at home preparing a meal in the kitchen, performing carpentry, using the sewing machine, playing the drums, or working on anything mechanical. Ed always had a flair for design and loved decorating, landscaping, and clothing. Ed was predeceased by his father Edgar Stinson, mother Miriam Stinson, and sister Diane Stinson. Survivors include his son Edgar D. Stinson III of Tulsa OK, daughters Amber Jorgensen of Yankton, SD, Rachel McNatt and Jamie Moser of Tulsa, OK, stepdaughter Sarah Anderson of Orlando FL, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren, brother David Stinson of Baltimore, MD, aunt Mary Jo Stinson of Dallas, TX and seven cousins. A memorial service will be held at the Stinson residence on Sunday, November 8th from 12pm-5pm. A graveside service will be held at Grove Hill Memorial Park on Tuesday, November 10th at 3pm.
