I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the family.  Sister Gray was my Sunday school teacher years ago at Living Testimony Baptist Church. I loved everything about her. She was always so sweet and willing to teach the young ladies how to be young ladies. She taught us and cared for as if  we were her daughters.  She was very beautiful and stylish and always had a sweet smile.

I pray God’s strength, and comfort to the family during this difficult journey. May God be with you and keep you.

I had the privilege of knowing Sister Gray and Pastor Gray for many years, and there is so much I could say about her. She was one of the most beautiful women, inside and out, that you could ever meet—graceful, kind, and stylish. When she was around, you couldn’t help but feel her presence, filled with love. One of my fondest memories is of her baking those delicious chocolate chip cookies in a brown bag.

Pastor Gray, I know this is an incredibly difficult time for you, losing the love of your life. But please take comfort in knowing how blessed you were to find a love like hers—a gift that many will never experience in their lifetime. May God wrap His arms around you and give you peace.

It is with sincere condolences that I write this today on behalf of my family.  We have known the Grays for decades, and to write this both saddens and gives me joy.  While my heart aches for the loss of her physical presence and knowing the pain is felt by all who knew her, loved her and were influenced by her Christlike character, it also gives me great joy that for all she has worked for, she has now joined our Lord at the conclusion of her Earthly journey.  My prayers go to Pastor Gray, Aric and family and Arica and hers, along with the Beautiful Gate church family.  May the Lord continue with you on your healing journey.

I am blessed that God put you in my life. You have always been like a second mother to me. I am forever grateful that you and Uncle Charles took me in when Mom had to work. You fed me and treated me as your own. I cherish your famous chocolate chip cookies and was always happy when you would make me a batch for my birthday and Christmas. Thank you for loving my family and always making them laugh. I will always remember that at our last "Hillary Auntie Lunch Date" in November, you said to me, "I love you and Trees to the moon and back". I love you too, Auntie, always!!

Thank you for being my mom. You can’t choose your parents, nor can they choose you, but God can, and he did! 

It’s funny, as a small child, I can only remember I never wanted to leave your side, I never wanted anyone looking at you, or I was going to “tell my dad,” or worse, all 50 pounds of me was going to give that person the evil eye and dream about destroying them. Even then, you knew! Though I am a cynic, you taught me control. 

Fast-forward and my mother has always been open and truthful. You never faltered, anyone in my life. We are so glad for the time we spent talking on the phone these past months. Dad said it brought your spirits up, but you also made our day. To see you and hear your voice was angelic. And we know there’s only one place for your singing voice and compassion…Heaven! 

As God welcomed you home, you asked how can I serve and watch over my family…He told you to rest, Earl, “I Got This” 🙏🏾
