Obituary

Dwight Matthews was born on May 31, 1961 to Robbie Matthews and Roosevelt Ellison in Kerrville, Texas. Dwight lived in San Antonio, Texas for a short while as a child and moved to Dallas, where he was raised into adulthood.

Dwight was a proud graduate of South Oak Cliff High School (Class of 1979). After high school he attended American Trades Institute and received HVAC Certification to begin his career at TD Industries. While at TD Industries he held many positions. He started as Sheet Metal Foreman in Dallas, then transferred to Austin and retired as VP of Construction Operations after 37 years. Still motivated and full of energy, Dwight accepted a position in Orlando, Florida as Operational Manager for Bernhard in January 2018.

To cherish his memories, he leaves his devoted wife of 18 years, Sabrina of Austin, Texas; two sons, Sabastian (Amanda) Houston, Texas and Dwight Jr. of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Savannah of Austin, Texas and Crystal of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren, mother, Robbie; sister, Vicki; brother, Stanley; nephew, Chris, a host of cousins, relatives, family and friends.
