Dorris Maxine Jolly

Dorris M. Jolly died on December 25, 2015 in Garland TX. Born March 5, 1929 in Union Mississippi to Lela (Rice) and James M. Foy. One of three children, she graduated from Nursing School receiving her RN Degree. In 1948 she married the love of her life, Fred N. Jolly. They faithfully served the Lord in Christian Ministry for more than 50 years, pastoring to the Baptist churches in Mississippi, Tennessee , West VA., focusing in the Greater Pittsburgh, PA. Association, where they were Church planters for the Southern Baptist Convention. Her faith in the Lord and belief in prayer made her a devoted wife, selfless mother and loving grandmother. She was a true example of Christ patience and compassion. She is preceded in death by husband, Fred Jolly and brother, James M. Foy Jr. from Union Mississippi, and survived by her sister and best friend, Fay Campbell of Griffin GA and her five children, Harry Jolly, Ladye Doyle, Lilly Adrian, Jim Jolly and John Jolly and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Mission Dignity, 2401 Cedar Springs Rd. Dallas TX 75201.
