Wilson, Dorothy Oneita McMahon Dorothy Wilson, 94, passed away August 11, 2013, in Comfort, TX. She was born July 3, 1919 in Grand Saline, the daughter of Samuel Cullen and Naomi Berry McMahon. She came to Dallas in 1935, where she worked at Sears 6 years until marrying Claud Wilson, Jr., her husband of 63 years. They moved frequently while Claud served in the Air Force during WWII and the Korean War. For many years Dorothy was active at Lakeside Baptist Church, especially in WMU mission and children's programs. Lakeside friends knew her as "Mrs. WMU." She was a co-founder and leader for the Lakeside Japanese Ladies' Language Class. For many years she was the treasurer for the Dallas Baptist Association WMU, as well as President from 1981-1985 and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 siblings Nova McMahon and Cullen McMahon, Jr., and survived by 3 children, Claudia Barner of Dallas, Dottie Fitzgerald of Granbury, and Kevin Wilson of Comfort, 5 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Burial will be with Claud at the National Cemetery in Grand Prairie. A family visitation will be at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, Thursday from 6 to 8 P.M. Her funeral will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 16, at Sparkman-Crane. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lottie Moon Missions offering at Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas.
