Dorothy M. Mason

Dorothy Louise Mason, 88, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was born to Zela and DeWitt Mason in Greenville, TX. Dorothy attended schools in Greenville and became a lifetime member of Kavanaugh United Methodist Church. She married the love of her life, Paul Mason, on June 30, 1945. They shared a love of music and were patrons of the Dallas Symphony Pops. In 1983, she and Paul started their own business and she continued to run it after Paul’s death in 2009. She loved to spend time at their lake house with their family and friends, and going on cruises. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Pam Foote and her husband Steve; grandson Steve Dunker and his wife Leigh Anne; great-grandsons Zack and Austin. The family would like to thank the caregivers at VNA and Caring Companions with a special thanks to Delecia Smith. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home from 3PM – 4PM. The service for Dorothy will be held Monday, January 27, 2014 at 2PM at Sparkman Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel.
