In the early hours of July 30, 2023, Dorothy Louise Housewright went to be with the Lord at the age of 93. Dorothy was born in Jacksonville, Texas to parents James Edward Crews and Maudie Ann Crews on October 27, 1929. She grew up and lived in Oak Cliff before moving to Plano, TX in 1973. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and an active member of First Baptist Church of Plano where she was a member for nearly 50 years.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Everett, mother and father in-law Delia and John William Housewright, brothers Ed and (Dorothy) Crews, Allan and (Mary) Crews, Jimmie, and (Billie) Crews and Lester Crews. She is survived by her son Mike, his wife Linda, daughter Jan, her sister Martha Gill, sister-in-law Johnnie Crews, sister-in-law Wanda Woods, along with 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 11, at 1:30 PM at First Baptist Church in Plano.
