Donna Ruth Foitek

Donna Ruth Foitek passed away on April 7, 2025, in Denton, TX, at the age of 70. Born on November 26, 1954, in Lufkin, TX, Donna was the beloved daughter of George and Helen Collier. She was raised in Mesquite, TX, where she graduated from Mesquite High School in 1972. In high school, she loved dance and was the baton twirler for the Friday night football games.

In 1985, Donna married the love of her life, Jerry Michael Foitek. Together, they had two children, Brittney and Jacob. Donna was a devoted wife, mother, and a cherished friend to many.

Donna found her calling as a legal assistant, a profession she excelled in for over 25 years. Her dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to her work made her a respected and valued member of various firms.

Donna was a woman of many passions and interests that filled her life with joy. She loved to read, with a special fondness for true crime, especially John Grisham. She loved a good football game and Sundays were often found with her cheering for her Dallas Cowboys or Kansas City Chiefs. However, her favorite teams consisted of the ones on which her children were playing. She found pride in her children's athletic pursuits, always being their loudest cheerleader on the sidelines.

Donna possessed a sharp wit that often left those around her in stitches. Her clever remarks and perfectly timed quips were a delight to her friends and family. She loved keeping up to date on current events, always reading and staying informed.

She is preceded in death by her parents George and Helen Collier and her brother George Hampton Collier.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Michael, her children Brittney (Eric) Ruggeberg and Jacob (Lauren) Foitek, her grandchildren Caroline and Audrey, and her godchildren Katrina (Andrew) Stinson and Kristen (Alan) Davies. She will be loved and missed by countless additional family including Tony and Kathleen Jones, James and Aimee Foitek, and Kevin and Sandra Wheeler.

May Donna rest in eternal peace, forever cherished and remembered by those whose lives she touched.

A visitation for Donna will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A mass will occur Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. A committal will occur Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. A reception will occur Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Spring Lake Event Center, 2280 Spring Lake Rd., 100, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.

Donna will be laid to rest in Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220-3338; PRINCE OF PEACE; Lot: 112, Grave: 2
