Donald Glen Williamson was born in Fort Worth, Texas July 17,1935. Don was 85 when he peacefully joined God in Heaven on January 28, 2021 from his residents in Frisco Texas. Don was the first of two sons of parents Earnest Lee Williamson and Nadine Minor Williamson. Don was raised in Abilene Texas and attended and graduated from Abilene High school. Don went on to attend and graduate from Baylor University School of Law in 1957. Don joined the State Bar of Texas in 1959 and had long successful career practicing family estate planning for Texas State Bank and under his own practice for over 50 years in Dallas Texas.
While practicing law in Dallas, Don contributed to his first love of music, mainly Opera. He was the President of Lyric Opera 1986 to 1989 and the President of the Dallas Opera Guild. It was important to Don to keep the art of music and Opera alive and to preserve it for future generations to enjoy. Don also had a love for literature and novels and recently lead a book club in his living community. Don contributed to numerous foundations such as Dallas Foundation, Community Foundation, Marilyn Horn Charity Foundation and the Meadows Foundation. He also mentored countless young attorneys.
Don is preceded in death by his Father and Mother and brother, David L Williamson and nephew, Steven L Williamson. He is survived by his nephew, Luke E Williamson, his wife Kristin and their three children, Kelsey, Anslee & Morgan of Helotes, Texas along with numerous cousins and friends.
Don was loved and will be truly missed by his family and friends.
