Donald Wayne Phillips

Donald Wayne Phillips of 81 years, went to be with the Lord June 17, 2015. Born to Mildred Phillips Pineda and Verlon Phillips on March 17, 1934 in Quanah, TX. Donald was raised in Dallas, TX and married Barbara Martin in 1974 and united their loving kids as one family. Donald was a devoted member of New Heights Baptist Church in Wylie, TX for many years. He was a dedicated man and retired from Wells Fargo - Loomis. He is preceded in death by daughters; Cathy Ann Phillips, Caroline Sue Wooten and brother, David Phillips. Donald is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Phillips and sons; Donald Phillips Jr. (Cindy) and John Phillips and daughters; Susan Hersch (Jim), Cathi McDonald (James) and Loree Boyd (Cliff), sisters; Joann Short, Shirley Lee, Janice Foster (Tony), Linda Porterfield, Anita McClary (Chuck), Karen Mitchell and brothers; Paul Pineda, Michael Pineda (Michele), Gary Pineda (Stacy) and Ricky Pineda (Kathy). Also 10 Grand children and 10 Great Grand children and 2 Great-Great Grand children including several nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Tues. June 23rd from 6pm - 8pm and Funeral Service to be led by Bro. Steve Foster Wed. June 24th at 2:00pm in the Grove Hill Chapel and concluding at Grove Hill Memorial Park. It is not darkness you are going to, for God, is light. It is not lonely, for Christ, is with you!
