Donald Ray King was born October 26, 1949, in Paris, Texas to Clifton Beard and Lillie B. King-Denson, who both preceded him in death. He attended Gibbons High School and later transferred to Paris High School in the class of 1968. He later moved to Dallas, Texas and was drafted into the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam war.” On February 14, 1972, he married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Reed. To this union, they were blessed with Edward and Kimberly.
His passions were politics, sports, motorcycle riding, and fishing. He served as a member of the American Legion Post 292. Also enjoyed watching and listening to PBS/KERA. His favorite charity, The Dallas Life Foundation.
Career; General Portland/Lafarge Corporation, Fort Worth, Texas for over 30 years where he became manager for the last 10 years of his employment.
Proceeding him in death, his stepfather Dave Denson, sister Wanda K. Denson, sister-in-law Alma King, and several uncles and aunts.
He leaves to cherish his memories, wife Barbara King, son Edward (Vanessa) of Lancaster, Texas; daughter Kimberly of Dallas, Texas; brother Harvey King of Oklahoma City; sister Janice Price (James) of Paris, Texas; Step mother Alice Beard, of Paris, Texas; Grandchildren, Joshua Ramirez, Ethan Jordan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
