Donald Thomas Coffin

Don was born September 10, 1938 in Kansas City, MO the son of Thomas and Virginia Coffin.

He was married for 51 years to high school sweetheart Lois Ann Kaegi-Coffin. They started their married life in Kansas City. He took a job in Dallas, TX in the 1960’s and remained there till his passing. He and Lois raised 4 children who blessed him with 9 grandchildren and 1 great grand child.

Don was known for his love of all things auto--cars, motorcycles and boats. He was a long-time member of the Cushman Scooter club, Corvette Club, Ford Club as well as a frequent rider with his motorcycles friends.

Don is survived by his wife Lois, daughter Christine, sons Dan, Don, and Dennis. Grandchildren Kelly, Erin, Edward, Taylor, Colleen, Tanner, Tom, Kathleen and Abbey as well as Great-grandchild Drew and sister Carolyn DeLisle.

Viewing Wednesday December 8th, from 4-8pm Ted Dickey West Funeral Home Dallas, TX. Rosary and viewing will be held Friday December 10th at 6pm McGilley & Hoge Funeral Home, Overland Park, KS. Funeral mass will be held Saturday 9am December 11th, Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe, KS. Burial following at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, Jesuit High School in Dallas, the American Heart Association and the Parkinson Association.
