Donald Gregory Box, 54, passed on to the Lord’s presence on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at his home in Dallas. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on September 20, 1957 and was preceded in death by his loving brother,
Paul. Greg graduated from North Mesquite High School in May 1976 and was employed the next week by Varo Inc as a communications technician; which was later acquired by IMO Inc then Litton Inc then Northrop Grumman Inc and finally, L3 Communications Corporations. Greg retained his position with each acquisition. Greg studied leadership skills at Richland College and Technical training by Rockwell International and Northern Telecom Inc to become certified to operate and maintain all management equipment systems.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Joyce Box of Mesquite, sister-in-law, Debra Box, cousins, Debie Beckwith, Gerie Cunningham, Larry Box, Leslie White, Karen O’Neal, Angie Tidwell, Clayton Powell; niece, Elizabeth Box and his very good friend, Dena Canfield; along with his Australian Terrier companion “Zack”; and countless other friends.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home, Thursday, 2:00 p.m., September 20, 2012, with Dr. Craig Christina of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, officiating.
A reception will follow in the foyer of the funeral home.
