Don grew up in Los Angeles, where he built and raced hot rods which became a lifelong passion. He worked to send himself through Fresno State University, was the Captain of the football team and President of his fraternity. Don was a loving, involved father and grandfather. He especially loved entertaining family out by the pool, and perfecting his cannon ball!
He turned many ideas into businesses, including the first landscape company to lease plants to commercial properties. He then went on to develop financial indicators for money managers well into his eighties.
Don is survived by his wife, Peggy Zimmerman-Wilson; his sons, Steve Wilson and Barbara, Michael Wilson and Angela, and his daughter, Kristen Wilson Andre and Ulf. Don also leaves to cherish his memory his three grandsons, Garrett Wilson, Alexander Andre and Jacob Andre, and his granddaughter, Jordan Wilson. Don is also survived by his sister Linda Crain and Dick of San Pedro, California.
A special thank you to the caregivers of New Horizon Homes who provided dedicated, loving and compassionate care to Don for the past two years.
