A TIME TO BE BORN: Don Morris Robinson was born August 3, 1948, in Lewisville Texas, to the late Abe and Francis Robinson.
A TIME TO LEARN: Don attended Lewisville High School where he graduated in the Class of 1966.
A TIME TO WORSHIP: Don was brought up in the church and attended services at Macedonia Baptist Church with his family at an early age. He continued his walk with Christ as an adult at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas under the pasturage of the late Rev. G. B. Prince. He later became a member of Concord Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas under the leadership of the late Dr. E. K. Bailey.
A TIME TO SOW: After graduating from Lewisville High School, Don answered the call to serve his country. He joined the United States Armed Forces and served as an Army Paratrooper. After his service, he returned home to Dallas, Texas to join the workforce. He began his career at Texas Instruments. Soon after, he transitioned his work for the United States Post Office, for 30+ years and retired. Upon his retirement he worked with the Pickens family.
A TIME TO SHARE: Don was the definition of a hardworking and loving man. Don cared deeply for his family and put forth the work to provide.
A TIME TO DIE: On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, God’s hand touched Don and his soul was set free to fly away with God and take his eternal rest. Don was preceded in death by: his son, Billy Mathis; his parents, Abe and Francis Robinson; his brothers, Freeman Robinson and Lester Robinson.
A TIME TO MOURN: Don leaves to cherish fond memories: two sons, Damien (Phylisha) Robinson and Brent Robinson; mother of his children Trudy Robinson; his life partner, Routhie Stanton; bonus children, Rhonda Stanton, Chris Stanton, Stacy Stanton and Sonia Stanton; He is survived by his brothers, Billy Joe Fears Robinson and Brad Robinson. Don’s love and legacy will continue to live on through his grandchildren: Teh’Ron Mathis, Ashley Harvey, Zoya Pirtle, Zariah Robinson, Zen Robinson, Raylen Gantt, Karrington Robinson, Karis Robinson as well his beautiful great-grandchildren, Brielle Releford, Kendallyn Releford, Poet Pirtle and Monroe Pirtle. Don will be forever remembered by a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
