On October 13th 2014, Domingo Gamboa was called to heaven to be with his Lord. Domingo was born August 4th 1934, in Waco Texas to Eulogio Gamboa and Maria Guardiola Gamboa. Domingo grew up in Sand Town, a Mexican Community in South Waco and was the youngest of 10 brothers and sisters. Domingo and the love of his life, Nina Yanez, were married on July 22nd 1955, and share three children, Linda Marie Gamboa Martinez, Lloyd Domingo Gamboa, and Richard Gamboa and they settled in Garland, Texas. Domingo was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, and grandson Benny Domingo Gamboa. He is survived by his wife, Nina, daughter Linda, son Lloyd and his wife Jill, son Richard and his wife Ellen, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Other surviving relatives include sisters, Mary Gamboa Villarrial of McGregor, Texas and Julia Gamboa Garza of Waco, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Domingo was well known by his family and friends for his warm hugs, spirited smile and loving personality. Faith was of upmost importance to him and he was a long time member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. A celebration of his life begins Thursday, Oct 17th with the Rosary at 5:30 pm and visitation from 6-8 pm, at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Tx. Funeral mass will be held Friday Oct 18th at 11 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 214 South Garland Ave in Garland, with interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Rowlett.
