Diane Vivienne Barsanti, 89, of Dallas, TX, passed away on February 19, 2022. She was born on August 14, 1932 in San Francisco, CA to Vivienne Kathleen Corsiglia Diehl and Vernon Robert Diehl. Diane married the love of her life, Robert Randolph Barsanti, on November 15, 1952. The marriage lasted one month shy of 60 years.
Diane was very generous with her time and was a part of several civic organizations. She served as the school chairman at St. Bridget of Sweden School in Van Nuys, CA and was also a Pink Lady Volunteer at hospitals in Phoenix, AZ and San Diego, CA. Diane will be remembered as a great mother by all, and also as a great caregiver for her husband – who she cared for over 20 years. She was very involved in her children’s activities and served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Cub Scout mother. She also attended school trips – one of the most memorable was a trip to NBC studios to the Art Linkletter Show.
She was a faithful Catholic and attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dallas, TX for many years. Diane had a passion for her grandchildren, classic movies, her dogs, caring for her home, and expressing her artistic talents.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Barsanti; brother, Philip Diehl; and son-in-law, Wesley R. Becker, Jr.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Candace Diane Becker of Tucson, AZ; son, Robert Gregory Barsanti of Lubbock, TX; daughter, Valerie Kay Barsanti of Largo, FL; granddaughter, Mary D. Severns (Dustyn) of Oceanside, CA; granddaughter, Kristy D. Duffy (Scott) of Sonoita, AZ; granddaughter, Chelley R. Becker of Tucson, AZ; granddaughter, Tara D. Barsanti of Dallas, TX; grandson, Jonathan Lewis of Largo, FL; granddaughter, Samantha L. Becker of Tucson, AZ; great-grandson, Dylan W. Severns of Oceanside, CA; great-granddaughter, Riley M. Severns of Oceanside, CA; great-grandson, Cliff W. Duffy of Sonoita, AZ; great-grandson, Henry A. Duffy of Sonoita, AZ; and brother, William Diehl (Linda) of Reseda, CA.
A memorial mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dallas, TX will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10:00 am. Diane’s final resting place will be in the columbarium next to her husband at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Plano, TX.
