

Diana Jasmin Moghissi Weaver passed away on Tuesday, March 22 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 63. Diana died peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loved ones, after succumbing to pancreatic cancer.
She was born in Banbury, England to Dr. Kamran Steven Moghissi and Mrs. Ida Laura Moghissi nee Tedeschi.
Diana grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She attended Grosse Pointe North High School and graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
She went on to pursue a career in Public Relations and Journalism, beginning at the Michigan Cancer Foundation in Detroit, Michigan, and most recently served as the Vice President of Development and Community Relations at Grant Halliburton Foundation in Dallas, Texas.
Her family, friends, and colleagues knew Diana for her compassionate, kind, and loving spirit. Diana’s children and grandchildren were her most valued treasures.
Diana was preceded in death by her late husband, Francis “Frank” Joseph Weaver, Jr., and by her mother, Ida Tedeschi Moghissi. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Francis Joseph “Joe” and Paige Weaver III, Paul Cameron Weaver, and Andrew Wilson Weaver. She is also survived by her grandsons, Jackson and Luke Weaver; her father, Dr. Kamran S. Moghissi; her sister, Soraya Coccimiglio; her niece Laurelle Justus; and numerous family, friends and colleagues around the world.
A memorial service will be held at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday, March 30, at 11 AM. A reception will follow the service at Bent Tree Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on her behalf to Grant Halliburton Foundation, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, or The Kamran S. Moghissi, M.D., Endowed Chair in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University School of Medicine.
