

She moved to Dallas at the beginning of World War II, and was employed at the Southwestern Bell. A devoted Wife and loving Mother, she was also claimed as a friend by many. Dela loved, lived, and laughed. Her faith carried her, her family, and countless others over many of the hills and valleys of daily life. She was a member of the White Rock Methodist Church, the Lost Chord Club of Dallas, and the Bridge club. Dela is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Don R. Nafus; and by her brother, Charles E. Gary, who passed in February of this year. She is survived by her children, Brenda Nafus and Gene G. Nafus, her two treasured grandchildren, Christopher G. Nafus, and Jaclyn N. Nafus, as well as many extended family members, friends, and loving care givers. Visitation is to take place from 11-12:00 PM Thursday, October 7, 2010. Services to follow, at 12:00 PM in Grove Hill Funeral Chapel. Interment will continue to Grove Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Visiting Nurses Association of Dallas, or the Lost Chord Club of Dallas.
