Darryl Leonard Reedy, Sr. was born on September 3, 1968, to Leonard Reedy, Jr. and Minnie Peterson. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, where he attended and graduated from William Maxwell High School. He also accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very early age. Darryl began working in his earlier years for company’s such as Credit Suisse and Lieff Cabraser Law firm for several years in New York City. He later moved to Dallas with his wife and family. He was employed with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department for over the past seven years as a Detention Officer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Peterson; his father, Leonard Reedy, Jr.; his brothers, William Matthews, John Matthews and Horace (Boss) Peterson; his sisters, Diane Peterson, Daphnie Matthews and Renee Huff; and his grandparents to both mother and father. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Stephanie Reedy of Mesquite, Texas; his children: Darryl Leondard Reedy, Jr. and DaJon Sameer Reedy of Mesquite, Texas; his siblings: Ronald (Joe) Matthews of Brooklyn, New York, Cheryl Reedy Farley of Brooklyn, New York, Bertha Matthews of Brooklyn, New York, Reginald Matthews of Bronx, New York, and Cindy Prichter of Brooklyn, New York; 56 nieces and nephews; 46 great nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends, who loved him dearly.
