Cynthia Sanchez Vela

Cynthia Sanchez Vela, age 62, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Thursday (November 21, 2013) at her Arlington home surrounded by family members. She fought a courageous battle with cancer since 1998. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Vela of Dallas.

Cindi was born in Dallas, Texas on March 3rd, 1951 and grew up in Oak Cliff, Texas. She was the daughter of the Angela and the late Joe Sanchez. She attended Sunset High School. Cindi worked at Parkland Memorial Hospital for over 20 years where she had countless friends before she retired in 2011 due to her illness. Besides her husband, Raymond, Cindi leaves her two daughters, Cristina and Stephanie of Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her two sisters Rosemary Solano, Lisa Schoonover, and her brother Robert Sanchez. She also leaves behind countless numbers of family members and friends that loved her dearly.

Cindi was an incredible person and loved spending time at her Cedar Creek lakehouse with her family. She was a pillar of strength and all are blessed to have had to privilege to know her.
