Curtis Washington was born on December 11, 1925, in Leesburg, Mississippi, to Alice and I.D. Washington, and was raised in Lima, Ohio. He was married to his loving wife, Doris M. (Williams) Washington for over 50 years, who affectionately called him “Wash.”
He was a proud veteran, having served for many years in several branches of the armed forces including the Navy and Air Force. He traveled the world while working as a mechanic for Bell Helicopter, and then worked many years for the United States Postal Service.
He was a member of The Way, The Truth and The Life Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), formerly known as Denley Drive Christian Church in Dallas, Texas.
