Freeman, Rev. Craig Caraway Rev. Craig Freeman, 90 of Dallas, TX died December 18, 2014. Craig was the son of Beulah and Joe Freeman and loving husband to Elizabeth Freeman for 52 years. He is survived by daughter Terri Freeman, son Philip Freeman and his wife Marilyn, grandson Jason Freeman, granddaughter Kelli Hindman and her husband Ryan, great granddaughter Irelyn Hindman and great grandson Jacob Hindman. Craig was a Baptist minister for more than 55 years, retiring at the age of 83. He was the founding minister of two churches: Westmoreland Heights Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas (1948) and Sleepy Hollow Baptist Church of Dundee Illinois (1966). After returning to Dallas (1967) from Illinois he became the minister at Cedar Temple Baptist Church, later known as Ferndale Baptist church. That same year ( 1967), he started working at UT Southwest Medical school under Dr. Pedro Stastny a pioneer in the tissue typing and organ transplant. Craig witnessed tremendous advancement in organ transplantation during his 25 years employment. Craig loved God, children, family, sports, history, science, a corny joke and travel. In recent years he fought a hard and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He can now rest.
