Clinton P Frank

Clinton Paul Frank was born in Columbus, Ohio at the Mt. Carmel Hospital to parents, the

Reverend Dr. Paul Berg Frank and Jean Elinor Moores Frank. He was baptized later that

year at the Christ Lutheran Church in Bexley, Ohio. Before long, Clint was joined by brother

Robert Paul, and sister Margaret “Peggy” Jean. During WWII, the family moved first to

Orange, TX then to Dallas, TX where his father started new chapters of the Lutheran

church. The Christ Lutheran Church in Lovers Lane Dallas, still serves its community over

70 years later. Mockingbird Lane became the long term home for the family and a young

Clint attended Highland Park High School where teachers described him as a good student

but that he was overly distracted with the goings on of the classroom. A trait that seems to

have become somewhat of a family affair!

Clint graduated from the University of North Texas in 1967 with a BBA in administrative

management. The same year he met a Miss. Mary Ann Davis, care of a blind date set up by

a mutual friend. A year later, they were married at St. Thomas Church in Dallas. The happy

couple soon welcomed a son Paul Howard, followed by Katherine Teresa, and finally,

Matthew Christopher.

During this time, Clint’s career took the family to Kalamazoo, MI where he worked for

Upjohn Pharmaceuticals as a divisional credit manager. However, Clint and Mary couldn’t

handle the winter of 1977 and soon returned to Texas. Working for the Chilton Corporation

in Houston, Clint and Mary found the floods and the heat were not much better than the cold

so after just a year, the family found themselves back in Dallas. In his new position at

Western Temporary Services, Clint learned how to rent out Santa Clauses and RNs. We

would imagine with a great deal of bemusement. During the years that followed, Clint held

positions in the credit industry with companies such as Zales, EDS, J. C. Penney’s, and

Oracle Software Installations. He received many certifications and awards during his career,

including the prestigious Distinguished Service Award from the International Credit

Association.

Clint and Mary’s family continued to thrive with the addition of their grandchildren Harrison,

Julia, Emma, Ethan, and Sofia. Clint retired in 2010 to become a full time career for his

beloved Mary Ann who, by that time, had begun to struggle with her fight against

Alzheimer's. Every day, quietly and without complaint, he would get up and be the very best

husband he could be. This love and devotion was evident each and every day until Mary

Ann passed away on September 14, 2016.

Although we will miss him dearly, we take great solace in the fact that Clinton and Mary Ann are

reunited once again, happy together in heaven.

He is survived by his children Paul, Katherine, and Matthew; his grandchildren, Harrison, Julia, Emma, Ethan, and Sofia; and by his sister, Peggy.
