Clifton A. Hill was born December 31, 1935 in Dallas, Texas to his parents Virginia Benson Hill and Clifton A. Hill. He was married to the love of his life, Carole Walton Hill for fifty-nine years. He graduated in 1955 from Jesuit Preparatory High School where he played football for four years. He served in the Navy Reserves. He graduated with a BA in Math from the University of Texas, and later earned a second BA from UTD in Historical Studies, graduating cum laude.
Cliff worked for 30 plus years for Merck Pharmaceuticals earning numerous awards throughout his career. In 1987, he and Carole co-founded Oak Hill Academy where he gave of his time and energy for many years. Cliff was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and active in the Little Rock Bible Study group.
One of Cliff and Carole's greatest joys was attending and cheering their son Kevin as he participated in Special Olympics. Kevin was the central focus of their lives and they traveled for many years with him on extended trips through the Rocky Mountains, Mexico and Texas sharing their love of nature and wildlife.
Cliff and Carole were passionate about International Folk Dancing for over two decades as they traveled across the U.S. and Mexico participating in folk dance camps and creating lifelong friendships.
Cliff is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Mary Virginia. He is survived by his son, Joseph Kevin & wife Carole, as well as extended family members; Ardith & Tom Hill, Michelle & Mark Murray, Roxanne & Lloyd Nichols, Claire, Greg & Amber Hill, Kelly Hill, Jennifer Yantis & Tony Procaccini, Michelle & Ron Dykstra, Debbie Begley, Tommie & Linda Botello.
Visitation will be held at Sparkman-Hillcrest on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 6:00-7:00 PM with Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Friday, June 17, 2016, 10:00 AM followed by a reception in St. Ann's Parish Hall. Interment will be held at Calvary Hill Cemetery at 1:30 PM.

The family would like to give special thanks to Silverado community, who were most kind, caring and generous to Cliff throughout the past few months. Family would also like to thank Hospice Select.
