Clarence "Captain" White Clarence White was born May 9, 1926, to the late Worth White and Mary Ealey in Bastrop, Texas. He entered his heavenly home Sunday, April 9, 2017. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Billie Anglin, and his sisters, Sue Wright and Lela White. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Paris (Michael), sisters, Dorothy Nesby and Annie Pearl Sneed, brother, Harry D. White (Shirley), grandchildren, Seneca Paris (Katherine) and Angel Bass (A.J.), and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbors and many dear friends. He attended Huston-Tillotson College in Austin, TX where he met Billie Anglin. They later married on December 19, 1953. For many years, he was well-known in Dallas as Captain White, an outstanding chef and caterer. His work garnered the respect and admiration of many. He was frequently recognized as a perfectionist with exquisite taste. His career also includes service in the U.S. Army and maître d’ for the famed Zodiac Room at Neiman Marcus in Dallas. As most know, he loved to garden and work in the yard. He was a kind and gentle spirit, never a harsh word to say about anyone. As he would have wanted, may we always treat each other with the "warmest regards". He will be missed. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with viewing and Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM respectively on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. All visitation and services will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 4015 South Hampton Road, Dallas, TX 75224 with Father Ben Molina officiating. A reception for the immediate family will follow the service at the home of Michael and Patricia Paris, 1809 West Red Bird Lane, Dallas, TX 75232.
