Clarence E. "Bud" Duncan was born in Cockrell Hill, Texas on August 9, 1920. He was the youngest son of Minnie Mae Surber and Elbert William Duncan. In 1938, he graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, TX. In 1946, he enlisted in the United States Army serving in WWII and discharged in 1949. After his military service, Bud began working for the Dallas Fire Department and retired after 20 years if dedicated service. He became a master plumber working for Sam P. Wallace as a steamfitter & pipefitter at Local 100. During this time he worked on his Real Estate Broker License and became a rancher in the 1980's. Bud was always involved in his community, whether attending Lancaster City Council meetings or meetings with member of the American Legions. He was raised a Master Mason on October 18, 1950 at George B. Dealey Lodge No. 1312 and transferred to Lancaster Lodge No. 160 in 1989. There he served as Master in June 1995 thru June 1996. At the time of his death, he had been a Mason for 67 years. Also he was initiated into Cockrell Hill Eastern Star Chapter #971 on May 26, 1961 and transferred his membership to Lancaster Chapter No. 943 in September 1990 making him a 66year member of the Easter Star at the time of his death. Bud also had a volunteering heart and enjoyed helping other people. He was a volunteer at the Scottish Rite Hospital for many years and volunteered with Hospice for 3 years.
Clarence Edwin Duncan "Bud" is survived by his dear wife of 57 years Marie Powell Duncan, many family members and loving friends.
