He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945. In 1942, during WWII, he was a P.O.W. and escaped and survived. He received a Purple Heart. After that, he came home to heal but his service was not over. He decided to serve the Army again from 1948 to 1952.
He is preceded in death by his Wife, Gloria Jean Bartek, Parents, Will and Albina Bartek, Brothers, Rudolph, Ludwick (Sonny), Wilmont, and Alton, Sister Julie, Daughters Clarene Bartek and Jo Lorraine, and
Sons, Ricky and Clarence.
He is survived by Brother, Joe Lee Bartek of Temple Tx, Son, Charlie Bartek of DeBerry, TX, Daughter, Kris Hamel of Rapid City, South Dakota.
6 Grandchildren, several Great Grandchildren and numerous family and friends who will love and miss him dearly.

A visitation for Clarence will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. A funeral service will occur Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. A committal service will occur Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232.
