Mrs. Cindy Faught

Cynthia Lynn Faught 1957-2017 God lovingly and gently took Cindy in His arms and took her home to be with Him on April 11, 2017. We are so thankful that she will have no more pain or suffering as God has healed her completely. Cindy was born in Seminole, Texas to Roy and Dorothy Riley on December 1, 1957. She is survived by her best friend and husband of 25 years, Jerry Works; her son Steven Blake Faught and wife Stephanie and their children, Lilyan, Evonne, Evan and Malcolm all of Rockwall TX. In addition she is survived by her step children Jeremy Works and Heather Works. She is also survived by her mother Dorothy Riley of Blackwell Texas; her sister Nerissa Carr-Boyd and husband Gerald of Sydney, Australia; her brother Delbert Riley and wife Brenda of Midland, Texas. She also leaves to cherish her sweet memory her nephews, Christopher Carr-Boyd and his wife Abby; Jeffrey Carr-Boyd, Parker Riley, and one niece Bailey Greer and her husband Dylan. She was also a very loving aunt to two great nieces Tenley and Everley Greer and one great nephew Holden Riley. She also leaves behind her loving aunt and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Roy Riley, her grandparents Dallas and Lucy Neal and Lee Roy and Ella Mae Kennedy. Cindy spent her childhood in Seminole Texas where she graduated from Seminole High School in 1976; she also attended Amarillo Community College. After college she began a career with Southwestern Bell/ATT where she worked for 30 years retiring in 2010. During her career she worked in Midland TX, Oklahoma City, OK and finished her career in Dallas Texas. During her career she became friends with many co-workers who became family to her, she loved the time she spent with these sweet friends and talked about them often. Cindy was a great wife, friend, sister, daughter and aunt; but her most cherished titles were wife, mom and grandma. She was a very devoted and loving mother and grandma, and truly delighted in all that included. She loved Jerry with her whole heart and he lovingly and faithfully cared for her over the years she struggled with her health. Cindy had a zest for life; she had a way of making all she met feel special to her. She had a sense of humor that entertained all and a smile that would light up the room. Her friends and family would tell you that she always had a smile and was full of laughter even when she was not feeling her best. Cindy also loved her dogs, yes she would talk to them and they would answer she says, her pups are going to miss all the attention that she gave them. Cindy enjoyed many things in life, she loved her Dallas Cowboys even in their down times she was a faithful fan. She dressed in a Cowboy jersey every Sunday during football season. She loved art, she was very creative and would make special items that perfectly fit the personalities of her friends and family; she truly enjoyed giving of herself. We are so going to miss her; our hearts are broken knowing she is not here to share our lives with. But we will hold on to the truths that our faith is in; that we will be reunited with her again. She is not lost, because we are sure of where she is.
