My wife and I were both very sad to learn of Bobby’s death at such a young age. We know how much he meant to Chris and the family and share in the immeasurable sorry of his loss. 

My daughter Victoria’s prom night, Bobby was one of the chaperones. Close to 40 + kids that graduated from Santa Monica high school! He did a great job watching all the kids.

Bobby helped my son through several slips and guided him back to  the program. When I reached out to him he was always there with a word of advise,  insight and a plan of recovery. He literally dropped what he was doing and drove my son to the hospital on several occasions.   
  
Bobby is somebody I view as a  hero. He came through for my son when he needed help in the worst way.  This young man was a very important person to  our family.  He was a difference maker in many peoples lives. And he will  be solely missed by all who knew him. 

I heard it said once that the measure of a man's life was how much he influenced the lives of others.  Bobby made a huge impact in many peoples'  lives in a very positive and important way.  I am glad to have known him and I will never forget him.    


   

   

     
           

The Ludeman family truly lifted our family during one of the hardest times in our lives. I will never forget the kindness and generosity we received. I wish we could lift you all in the same way right now. Bobby was hilarious and magnetic. I thought he was one of the coolest people ever when I was a kid because he was! So extremely sad to hear this news. We’re all thinking of and praying for your family.

Bobby your heart, mind, and humor were unparalleled. I’m not sure how to put everything into words. It has been a privilege to have known you since the PV days. Even though we lived far apart, and for a while on opposite coasts, we were still able to connect and share great conversations like that distance didn’t exist. No one was better than you at firing back quotes from our favorite shows and movies, or offering reading suggestions. Your loss will forever be felt by those that knew you, but the legacy of love and positivity you left behind will live on forever. I miss you, please take care of our moms up there.

I took this picture not long after Bodie was born. Bobby and his family at a friend's birthday party. This man was some doctor that Bobby knew. I'm so devastated to know that he has passed. I don't think he ever knew a stranger. He was your friend from the minute you met him. My thoughts are with his family.

Bobby was a student of mine at El Centro College about 7 or 8 years ago. He was smart and he always smiled and did very good work. I'm absolutely devastated to hear this. My condolences to his family.

Bobby was truly one of a kind. I'll never forget meeting him when his family moved to Palos Verdes. He had this effortless swagger and east coast style and smooth delivery and vast knowledge of rap — basically my opposite in every way.  He got me onto DMX, I got him onto Sublime. But none of our stark differences mattered because we immediately bonded over irreverent humor. To this day, I've never laughed harder than when I was with Bobby.

Even as we found ourselves in different social circles in high school, I always loved any chance to hang out and catch up. Life felt brighter and warmer in his presence. Bobby possessed such a mature sense of real care and concern at his age, especially after my dad's cancer diagnosis. The entire Ludeman clan stepped up and made us feel loved.

After years of life getting in the way of staying in touch, I found myself listening to a podcast episode last year where Bobby shared his remarkable journey and dedication to helping others find their road back. I was instantly reminded of what a truly special person Bobby was and how fortunate I was to know him. I messaged him to let him know I wanted to be like him when I grew up.

There will never be another Bobby. His loud, outsized spirit endures and may his memory be a blessing to all who were fortunate to know him. All of our love, condolences, and prayers to the Ludeman family.

You were such a bright spot in my life. It was impossible not to be happy when around you. Your energy and charisma were infectious and I will forever remember the laughs and memories shared together. I am a better person because of you.  Love you Bobby and I can’t wait to see you again one day. 

My sincerest sympathies to all of Bobby’s family and friends. I knew you for only a short time, however; you made a profound difference in my sons life.  I am forever grateful and will always remember you out on the ranch with the gang having a great time!!!

Bobby will be missed immensely by so many people. He left an amazing lasting impression from the moment you met him. He never met a “stranger!” He will be remembered for the outgoing, compassionate, selfless man that he was. My heartfelt condolences to all of his family and friends. We were lucky enough to have met Bobby once in Mexico for Jasmine and Paul’s wedding. It was clear how much he loved Bodhi, Kay and his family. Love you guys and are thinking about you everyday!

‘My triglycerides are so bad, they’re seriously considering marketing me as a salad dressing” was one of the last things Bobby said to me.  He was such a funny, tortured, self-deprecating, transparent man, I’d dare say I loved him from the day we met. God, I think it was 2013?

Amidst his trials, we used his tribulations to track his progress as he wound his way through life, in much the same way rarely seen majestic whales break the water’s surface.  He’d win a marathon here, open a ski shop there; go to school here (he LOVED SCHOOL!) and open a bar there… I remember how stoked he was when Bodhi held up a single finger at his 1 year party (he and “I’m Special K” had been rehearsing it all week!) and how elated he was when Bodhi turned 4 (“I still can’t believe I’m actually helping to raise a child!”) …and I remember how thrilled he was when he’d earned the respect of his father.

So much life and so much living crammed into such a short span.

There aren’t words to describe the kind of vacuum created when a man like Bobby leaves the world, nor are there words to describe the breadth and depth of my sense of loss and regret.

I loved you, Bobby, and love you still.  Safe journey, old friend.

You will be missed.
