Dr. Christian Lee Moncrief passed away on July 8, 2023, in Wichita Falls, TX. He will always be remembered as a loving father and grand dad, a gifted surgeon and veteran of the United States Army, a trusted friend and mentor.
Dr. Moncrief is survived by his sister Sidi and his brother John; and by his sons Hal and John, and his daughter Katherine. His children will continue to uphold Dr. Moncrief’s legacy of service and care for others. He is preceded in death by his father, Lt. Col John A. Moncrief, his mother Constance, and his wife Janis.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home (Dallas), and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 21 in the chapel of Saint Michael & All Angels Church (Dallas).
In lieu of flowers (which are also welcome,) memorial contributions may be made in Dr. Moncrief’s name to The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, or to the Humane Society.
Dr. Moncrief will be interred at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, NM.
