In loving memory of Cheryl Ann Payne, 48. Cheryl passed away on October 24, 2016, in Denton, TX. She was taken from this life far too early due to complications after suffering a severe head injury. She helped save the lives of others through organ donation.
Born in Topeka, KS, she is survived by her two sons, Charlie Leal and Blake Farmer, his fiance, Evelyn Lujano, and her granddaughter, Lila, her mother, Mary Jo Payne, Dallas, TX, her father and stepmother, Ken and Jeanne Payne, Lenexa, KS, her partner, Greg Leal, her sister and brother in law, Christie and Tom Parker, her nieces and nephew, Emily, Lily and Luke Parker, and many more family members and close friends.
Cheryl began a career in the mortgage industry as a young, single mother, and due to her diligent work ethic and perseverance, she became a valued, award winning underwriter. She was highly praised and widely respected by her peers. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, loyalty and thoughtfulness. We will forever cherish our memories of her bright, fun-loving sense of humor and the sound of her contagious laughter.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, 7990 George Bush Turnpike, Dallas, TX 75252. In lieu of flowers, please make donations, in her name, to The Magdalen House, 1302 Redwood Circle, Dallas, TX 75218.
