Charlotte “Peggy” Dupuy passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Texoma Health Care Center in Sherman, Texas on February 25, 2017. She was born in Joplin, Missouri on January 7, 1922 and was 95 years old. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore R. Stellmacher in 1945, her second husband, Robert L. Dupuy in 1990, and her son, Leonard M. Dupuy in 1995. She moved to Dallas at the age of 9 with parents Gus and Gladys Forster. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Southern Methodist University where she was pledged to Delta Gamma Sorority. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dallas for over 50 years. She was very active in the Allman Sunday School Class, Pastors Aides, and the Keenagers Group. She also belonged to the Shepherd Center and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. She is survived by her daughter, Teddy Pitman and husband Lynn of Sherman, and her son René Dupuy of Washington, D.C. Her survivors also include two grandchildren, Christopher Parker and wife Jenniefer, Craig Parker, and four great grandchildren, Seth Parker, Heather Parker, Hannah Parker, and Andrew Parker. A special thank you goes to the Texoma Health Care Center staff and nurses and to Heart to Heart Hospice in Sherman for their great care during the last eight months. A graveside service, officiated by Joe Ed Goolsby of First United Methodist Church in Sherman, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, Texas. At her request, memorials may be made to The Stewpot at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas or the Care Team at First United Methodist Church in Sherman.
